You don’t and you won’t.
“I don’t have the time!” You don’t, and you won’t!
“There’s not enough hours in the day.” There aren’t! 😫
I’m not sure why God made the earth rotate on its axis in 24 hours each day, but I’m certain He didn’t have my to-do list in mind.
With that being said, if “not having enough time” is leading to negative feelings of frustration, impatience, anger, and overwhelm, then it’s important to address these feelings. These emotions are the opposite of the fruit of the Spirit and are not in alignment with God’s will for our lives.
The enemy uses distractions and busyness to pull us away from God’s peace and purpose. But we can combat this by putting on the armor of God each day (Ephesians 6:10-18) and focusing on what truly matters. Our first priority should always be to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that everything else will fall into place.
As Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God calls us to worry about nothing and trust Him with everything.
And remember, even when things feel overwhelming, “the worst is never the worst.” Romans 8:28 assures us that, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” No matter what you’re facing, God is always at work, turning even the toughest situations for our ultimate good. Yep, even that pile of dishes in your kitchen sink.
So chill out girl, and rest in the Lord’s peace.
Now that you got your mind right! God has blessed us with resources, wisdom, and support to navigate our days. Think smarter, not harder! I’ll mention some practical resources in the next part of this newsletter that can help you manage your time and responsibilities more effectively.
Time management solutions.
In the busy world of moms and homemakers, time management is crucial. While there are many resources available to help you manage your time effectively, today we’re focusing on one powerful solution: hiring a virtual assistant (VA) to help manage your household.
Imagine offloading some of your daily tasks to a VA, freeing up time for what truly matters—whether it’s spending quality time with your family, getting your nails done, or even just sitting in silence 🤣. A VA can save you an average of 10 to 20 hours a week by taking care of tasks such as:
• Scheduling doctor appointments and managing your calendar
• Organizing household errands and grocery lists
• Handling emails and correspondence
• Coordinating family events and activities
• Managing household bills and budgeting
• Researching and booking travel arrangements
• Creating meal plans and ordering groceries
If you’re worried about cost, there are many cost-effective options available. You can find VAs for as low as $3 an hour on platforms like:
• Upwork
• Fiverr
• OnlineJobs.ph
• TaskRabbit
For an even more budget-friendly approach, consider gathering a group of friends who are also moms. Together, you can share a VA and come up with a list of tasks that the VA could do for all of you each week. For example, the VA could:
• Plan and coordinate group playdates
• Manage a shared/individual meal planning schedule
• Coordinate school pick-ups and drop-offs
• Research and organize family activities for the weekend
• Handle bulk ordering and deliveries for household items
As you explore these options, remember that the first step is not stressing but trusting God. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” The next step is being a good steward of the gifts He’s blessed you with and utilizing the resources available to you. Whether it’s hiring a VA or simply rethinking how you manage your day, trust that God is guiding you in making the best decisions for your family.
